I've recently created a series of 7 decks (3 light, 4 dark) that are very cheap but still highly competitive. The goal of these decks and accompanying strategy is to teach a new player a solid deck to begin to learn to play competitively with. If you are just starting out or recently coming back to SWCCG after a hiatus, this is a great place to begin!
Light Decks Wookiees! - A strong ground deck with TONS of furballs Echo Base Operations - Weak on ground, deadly in space! Swarm the imperials with x-wings. Dantooine Base Operations - A versatile deck, solid in both ground and space. Dark Decks ISB Operations - Spread and drain on ground, or deliver a massive beatdown! Mistryl - The newest strong dark decktype. Its versatile and a blast to play. Did I mention you get to use all females? Set Your Course For Alderaan - Kill your opponent with multiple Imperial Class Star Destroyers and a unique, indestructible ground force! Ralltiir Operations - This classic deck is back and better than ever! You can shut down your opponent's strategy with this versatile deck. Don't forget to use the Star Wars - Information Pool (SW-IP) to help figure out how these decks work! |

Holotable is a program developed for SWCCG play online. Users have access to an unlimited supply of the entire cardpool with these programs, and are able to play opponents across the world. Its a great way, once you already know the basic rules of the game, to have fun playing SWCCG from the comfort of your home!
There are two main parts of Holotable--Holodeck and Holotable itself. Holodeck is a deckbuilding program which includes all cards and strategies in the game. Build your decks with it and then test them out on Holotable.
Installing Holotable
Install these files in the following order to get Holotable up and running! Also refer to www.holotable.com for Holotable's latest updates. .82 installer (full installer up to v.16) Large images (258mb - optional but highly recommended) GTK runtime environment
If you get a .dll error when launching the program, it is almost certainly because you haven't installed gtk.

October 31, 2008 The Clone Wars hit retailer shelves The highly anticipated Clone Wars Miniatures set was finally released Friday. This marks a change for Wizards of the Coast, the creators of the Star Wars Miniatures game in that, for the first time, this is a 40 piece set. Previous sets consisted of 60 figures with a standard distribution of Very Rare, Rare, Uncommon, and Common figures. This actually makes purchasing a complete set much easier since, if you purchase your miniatures by the case, you should only be missing about a half dozen figures once you open all 12 boosters of a single case. On top of the switch to 40 figures per set, it also appears that the "very rare" figures in the cases are "clustered". What this means is that, should you purchase a single case, you're likely to get the following very rare figures: Padme/Grievous/Sidious/Ashoka or Yoda/Anakin on Stap/Rex/Durge. If you purchase two cases at once, you stand the chance of getting two identical (as far as clustering goes) cases and having 2 of each "very rare" figure. I'll leave it up to you to decide if that's a good thing or a bad thing. |
